Gilbert Hardwood Centers Inc. is a hardwood lumber and plywood distribution company with operations in Trinity, NC and Huntland, TN.

At the company's 10-acre yard in North Carolina, Gilbert maintains an inventory of approximately 2 million board feet and utilizes 280,000 board feet of kiln capacity.  The Gilbert staff in North Carolina includes President John Henderson; Vice President Secretary/Treasurer Debbie Andrews; Yard Foreman Kelly Wilson; and sales representatives Gary Hill and  Ed White and inside sales Regina Henderson.

In Tennessee, Gilbert stocks approximately 3.5 million board feet of kiln dried lumber and has a kiln capacity of more than 300,000 board feet. The Tennessee staff is Steve "Red" Turner, general manager, Deana Davis, assistant corporate secretary; Mike Lewis is yard foreman, and sales representatives are Stanley Trentham, John Walls and Holly Stewart.

A Yates American B 24 planer, automatic stacker and straight line ripping equipment are utilized at both facilities. Additionally, the company uses five covered warehouses to keep its lumber clean and bright.

As an extra service to its customers, Gilbert owns a fleet of trucks and makes its own deliveries, mostly in mixed loads, to customers scattered throughout the South and East.
